Found Object – Sound Mind Podcast: An Interview with MET Hornist Julia Pilant

So far in the life span of Musician’s Well I’ve posted stories directly submitted to me by people willing to share their journey through injury, or transcripts of live interviews. Now for something a little different. In talking with so many people, I’ve come across several resources that have already been put out there in the world, and I’d like to gather and post some of those “found objects” here.

I recently spoke with my friend and colleague Julie Pilant about her experience with Invisalign. During our conversation she told me about an interview she gave for Cameron West’s podcast called Sound Mind and gave me her blessing to post it here. 

It’s a great interview full of Julie’s characteristic down-to-earth-yet-upbeat attitude and her generosity of spirit. Some of my personal favorite moments, in addition to the teeth talk, were her discussions with Cameron about the magic word “no,” and her father’s saying, “Persistent perseverance prevails.” Click here to listen!
